Conklin, NY Conklin, NY Full-time Full-time $16 - $17 an hour $16 - $17 an hour 19 hours ago 19 hours ago 19 hours ago GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Carousel Operator will be part of the logistics team responsible for accurately picking and packing outgoing orders in a timely fashion.
It is critical to the success of this role that the picking and packing activities are done accurately.
This position will interact with the shipping operator and other departments.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Use 5S procedures to help increase Safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Comply with safety policies and procedures.
Based on scheduled orders, pick, pack, and prepare product to be shipped.
Put away stock needed for orders.
Accurately conduct cycle counts.
Reprocess orders that have out of stock items.
Engage with other team members with a positive attitude.
Troubleshoot order issues.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively communicating and identifying opportunities and ideas to the supervisory and management staff.
Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB Education:
High School diploma or GED.
Experience:
Experience in a customer service-based environment is preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES 1.
Familiarity of 5S policies and procedures.
2.
A high level of flexibility with job functions and ability to accept change.
3.
Ability to research, analyze and problem solve.
4.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
5.
Ability to read and understand documents and procedures.
6.
Ability to work independently using good judgement and problem-solving skills.
7.
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
8.
Demonstrated ability to use basic math skills.
9.
Must be conscientious and have a high level of attention to detail.
10.
Good organizational and time management skills 11.
Basic computer skills, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook 12.
Works with a sense of urgency 13.
Ability to learn new programs.

Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
15.
Able to work overtime as needed to ensure on time delivery.
